Artful Earfull vereint 5 ausdrucksstarke und eigenwillige Persönlichkeiten, welche sich durch ihre hohe Emotionalität und ihre brilliante Virtuosität auszeichnen.
Dan Gottshall, ein Posaunist von der Amerikanischen Ostküste, ist nun seit 9 Jahren Lead-Posaunist der NDR Big Band. Er war 1993 bis 2001 Lead Posaunist mit der ehemalige RIAS Big Band in Berlin.
Geboren in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, studiert und gewohnt in Baltimore Maryland. Diese Jahre in die Baltimore Szene war für seine musikalisches Entwicklung ohne Zweifel ganz wichtig.
Trotzdem, nach so viele Wohnorten - Pennsylvania, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Köln, Berlin: sieht er sich wie ein Kind des Universums der endlich in Hamburg gelandet ist.
