Andy Tate has been named the 2011 Future Problem Solving of Virginia Mover & Shaker. He spends the night, all night, evaluating booklets at every state bowl. He generally judges the toughest booklets and serves as the go-to person when an another evaluator encounters a difficult issue or wants second opinion. His feedback to teams and individuals is not only helpful but also wise and incisive.
He also serves as the program’s bookkeeper, tirelessly tracking and reporting every expenditure and rigorously accounting for every penny. There is, in fact, very little that this person has not done for Future Problem Solving - from hauling around trophies to delivering sandwiches at board meetings.
Andy Tate brings to Future Problem Solving an Annapolis education in Engineering, service as a captain in the United States Navy, a masters degree in computer systems, and an MBA from the College of William and Mary. He also brings a genuine willingness to contribute and make things happen.
