What makes an outstanding FPSer? Individual qualities such as creativity, diligence, judgement, and knowledge quickly come to mind. Collaborative traits are also critical because they contribute to the overall team effort. The generosity and integrity of a single teammate can save a problem solving session by promoting cooperation and allow the team to work together in unity. Sometimes it is something totally surprising that makes a teammate especially effective.
To honor these qualities, Future Problem Solving of Virginia created the George Wythe Award – an annual award recognizing the outstanding team member in each competitive division. The award is unique because a nominee can only be put forward by a fellow team member.
To nominate one of your teammates, download the pdf form on this page and explain your reasons for proposing the candidate. Sign the form, and ask your coach to endorse the selection. Mail the completed form to Future Problem Solving of Virginia, 1705 Burroughs Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23455.
Applications must be postmarked no later than March 16, 2013
